Terms of Use
Last updated: 31 July 2026
These terms explain how you may use Nightdream Labs apps. They are short by design: our apps are simple tools that run on your device. Using an app means you accept these terms.
Who we are
Nightdream Labs is a small software studio based in the United Kingdom. These terms cover all Android apps we publish on Google Play, including Baby Mirror, Disposable and Sensible Wallpaper Changer. You can reach us at hello@nightdreamlabs.com.
Our Privacy Policy explains how our apps handle data and forms part of these terms.
Accepting these terms
By downloading, installing or using one of our apps, you accept these terms. There is no separate acceptance screen. If you would rather these terms did not apply, uninstall the app.
Google Play has its own terms for downloads, accounts and payments, and those apply alongside ours. Where an app has additional terms of its own, those apply for that app.
If you are under 18, use our apps with the agreement of a parent or carer.
Your licence to use our apps
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use our apps on devices you own or control, for your own personal use. We keep ownership of the apps; this licence is permission to use them.
Contact us at hello@nightdreamlabs.com if you want to use an app commercially, for example on devices you supply to customers or staff.
What you may not do
- Copy, sell, rent, sub-licence or distribute an app or any part of it.
- Modify, decompile or reverse engineer an app, except where the law gives you that right.
- Remove or alter our branding, notices or attributions.
- Use an app to break the law, to infringe someone else's rights, or to record or photograph people without their agreement where that agreement is required.
- Interfere with how an app works, or try to bypass a paid feature or usage limit.
- Install an app from a source other than an official store listing we publish.
Local law may allow some of these activities, and where it does, the law takes priority over this section.
Intellectual property
The apps, their source code, designs, icons, sounds, text and the Nightdream Labs name and logo belong to us or our licensors, and are protected by copyright and other rights. Photos, videos, wallpapers and other content you create or supply through an app remain yours; we claim no rights over them and have no access to them.
Permissions and how the apps work
Some apps ask for device permissions, such as camera or storage, so they can provide their core features. Android asks for your agreement first, and you can change permissions at any time in your device settings. Turning a permission off may stop part of an app from working. Our Privacy Policy lists the permissions each app uses and why.
Our apps are tools, and the results depend on how you use them and on your device. Keep your own backups of anything you want to keep, such as photos you have saved to your device.
Availability, devices and updates
We aim to keep our apps working well on current Android versions and mainstream devices. Android hardware and software vary widely, so we cannot promise that every feature will work on every device or that an app will always be available or free of faults.
We may release updates that add, change or remove features, and we may stop supporting an older Android version, a device type or an app entirely. Where we withdraw an app, we will give reasonable notice on this site or in the app listing where we can, and installed copies will usually keep working until your device or Android changes make that impossible. Updates come through Google Play, and your device settings control how they are installed.
Purchases through Google Play
Some apps offer optional paid features, subscriptions or free trials. Where they do:
- Google Play handles all payments, renewals, receipts and refunds. We never see or store your payment details.
- Prices and what is included are shown in the app or the store listing before you buy.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your Google Play account. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and access continues to the end of the period you have paid for.
- A free trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends. The app or store listing tells you the trial length and the price that follows.
- Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy and your statutory rights. For consumers in the UK and EU, the right to cancel a digital purchase within 14 days can end once the download or streaming begins with your agreement.
- Contact us at hello@nightdreamlabs.com if a paid feature does not work as described, and we will help.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for your device, your Google account, your network charges and the content you create or choose to keep. Please use our apps sensibly and safely. Baby Mirror and similar family apps are aids for use by an attentive parent or carer, and they do not replace supervision of a child.
Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit or exclude. Your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 that digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, always apply and are not affected by these terms.
Beyond that, our apps are provided as they are and as available. We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable, or for loss arising from your use of an app for business purposes such as lost profits, lost business or lost data belonging to a business.
Where liability can be limited by law, our total liability to you for any claim connected with an app is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us or through Google Play for that app in the 12 months before the claim, and £50.
We are not responsible for Google Play, your device, your operating system or other third-party services, and we are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Ending these terms
You can end these terms at any time by uninstalling our apps. We may end your licence if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, and we will tell you why where we reasonably can. When the licence ends, stop using the app and remove it from your devices. Content you have already saved to your own device storage stays yours.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as our apps change or the law changes. The revised terms apply from the date shown at the top of this page, and continuing to use an app after that date means you accept them. For a change that materially affects your rights, we will give reasonable notice on this site or in the app listing before it takes effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes can be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you live outside the United Kingdom, you keep the protection of any mandatory consumer law that applies where you live.
General
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we delay enforcing a term, we can still enforce it later. These terms are between you and us, and no one else can enforce them.
